2. General Information on Data Processing
This website is a purely informational, static website. We do not use any tracking technologies, do not set our own cookies, and do not analyse user behaviour. We do not store or process any personal data of our visitors beyond what is technically necessary.
3. Website Hosting and Use of Cloudflare
3.1 Scope of Data Processing
This website is delivered through the content delivery network (CDN) of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). Each time you access our website, Cloudflare automatically collects technical connection data transmitted by your browser. This includes:
- IP address of the accessing device
- Date and time of access
- Page or URL accessed
- HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
This data is processed by Cloudflare exclusively for the delivery of website content and to maintain the security and stability of the network. We ourselves do not store, analyse, or process this data.
3.2 Legal Basis
Data processing by Cloudflare is based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, performant, and reliable provision of our website. The use of a CDN is required for the technically sound operation of the website; delivering it without such a network is neither economically nor technically reasonable for a publicly accessible website.
3.3 Purpose of Processing
Processing serves the delivery and provision of website content as well as protection against abuse and attacks (e.g. DDoS protection).
3.4 Storage Duration
Technical connection data is typically stored by Cloudflare for less than 24 hours. We ourselves do not store any server logs or access data.
3.5 Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR (Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum). Cloudflare processes personal data exclusively on our instructions and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
4. Data Transfer to Third Countries
Cloudflare is a US-based company. A transfer of personal data to the USA therefore cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF). The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR for US companies certified under the DPF (Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 of 10 July 2023). Additionally, Cloudflare has incorporated the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) into the data processing agreement.
Further information on data protection at Cloudflare can be found at: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
5. No Cookies and No Tracking Technologies
We do not use any cookies, web beacons, pixels, or comparable tracking technologies on this website. No analysis or evaluation of your usage behaviour takes place. Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies as part of its security functions (e.g. for bot detection). These cookies serve exclusively to ensure technical functionality and are exempt from consent requirements pursuant to § 25(2)(2) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG), as they are strictly necessary for the provision of the service expressly requested by the user.
6. Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, the personal data you transmit (e.g. name, email address, content of your enquiry) will be processed and stored by us to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete your data once it is no longer required for the purpose of processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Rights of Data Subjects
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, please contact: office@parlant.co
8. Right to Object Pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR
Insofar as we process personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. The objection may be submitted informally to the email address stated above.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
You have the right pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR. The competent supervisory authority for us is:
